Conference Overview

This highly anticipated client event provides destination marketing professionals with the opportunity to gather tips and best practices from SMI staff, industry colleagues and travel and tourism professionals to maximize their investment in and use of Destination 3000.

Our conference this year is April 20th - 23rd, and is centrally located for both our United States and Canadian clients in beautiful Milwaukee, WI. We are excited about this central location and are hopeful that it will make it even easier for all of our DMO customers to attend.

In addition to the central location, great agenda and outstanding networking opportunities, attendees will have yet another incentive to join us this April. One lucky Destination 3000 (D3000) customer attendee will win a 20 hour credit for their organization which can be used towards any services from SMI, including custom development work, report writing, data conversion or training. This great prize is worth over $3,000!

Each 2010 conference attendee from a D3000 client site will automatically be entered in the drawing - so the more people that attend from your organization, the better the odds are for your organization to win! The winning attendee will be selected at the Closing Breakfast on April 23rd, and the selected attendee must be present to win. If he/she is not present, another name will be drawn.

What to Expect

• Educational sessions in which SMI and/or our Technology Partners will be on hand to answer questions, explain best practices, and offer assistance on using D3000 and its partner applications.
• General Sessions presented by your SMI team members, industry colleagues and technology experts. These sessions investigate and discuss trends in destination sales, marketing and management technology and how it impacts your organization. Practical ways you can use D3000 more effectively are presented by those who know it best.
• Demonstrations by SMI of the latest Destination 3000 Point Upgrades and the Destination 3000 Web Solutions product line.
• Product demonstrations by select technology partners that offer products, services or solutions to complement your use of Destination 3000.
• Open Forum Meetings, moderated by SMI Clients, allowing our attendees to network and share ideas regarding best practices and procedures in the various departments of DMOs, such as Membership/Industry Partner Management, Convention Sales and Services and Information Technology.

Registration

Registration for the conference for an individual attendee is US$595.00. Discounts are available to CVB's that send three or more employees as follows:

• Three to five employees- $565.00 per attendee
• Six employees or more- $535.00 per attendee

If your organization intends to send three employees or more, please notify SMI by contacting Diane Ference via email at dference@softwaremgt.com or by phone at 412-254-9000 ext. 416, and we will make sure that your organization is invoiced for your registration fees at a discounted rate once all attendees have registered.
